Ford F-150 - What's New
F-150 interior design, quality and comfort have become benchmarks. For 2009,
an all-new interior expands on that tradition. New “Active Comfort”
seats are contoured for comfortable support, even on the longest
trips. Rear seatbacks are reclined for a more natural seating position.
The cabin has been engineered to minimize wind, road and mechanical noise
so effectively, we’ve created the quietest F-150 yet. The 2nd row
in the new F-150 SuperCrew puts more passenger room behind the front seats
than any truck in the class — that’s room you can use and enjoy.
Plus, available features make work easier and life more convenient. An advanced,
voice-activated Navigation Radio integrates driving directions with high-quality
audio. It’s all displayed on an easy-to-use, 8-in. touch
screen with bold, colourful graphics.

- Painted Sterling Silver Metallic front bumper and rear step bumper
with moulded-in-colour black upper fascia

- New Tailgate Designs include a Styleside variation with 3 feature
lines stamped into the outer sheet metal that visually tie into new
taillamps. Styleside and Flareside tailgates both come with a new lip
spoiler along the top edge that improves the truck’s aerodynamics
- Wide Stance – with wide front and rear treads – instills
confidence and lateral stability
- Nearly Vertical Tumblehome (inward bow of the side windows) balances
the visual weight of the lower body, while allowing nearly flush side
glass
Interior
- New Seat Designs across all series provide added comfort and feature
new, high-quality materials
- Redesigned Door Panels provide more elbow room
- Visors with driver-side strap and passengerside mirror
- New Centre Console is 50 mm (2") longer for increased storage
capacity and includes:
- Special ridges moulded into the edges to accommodate file folders
- Multi-tiered removable tray
- A lock for secure storage of valuables
- More ergonomic floor shifter
- New seat design with revised cushion bolstering and cover materials
for improved comfort and durability

- Deep cargo box with Tailgate Assist™ and tailgate step makes
carrying and loading cargo easy.
- Box access steps ease cargo access over the sides of the pickup box.
- Automatic phone book transfer
- SuperCrew models feature larger door openings for easier entry/exit.
- Flat rear cargo floor.
- Power Tilt Steering Column (included in, and exclusive to, new Lariat
Platinum Package) allows the driver to place the steering wheel in the
optimum position for comfort
- Box Access Steps are located ahead of the rear wheel and aid cargo
area access from the side of the Styleside box
